Robert Bridenbecker, the head of Blizzard's "classic games group," announced via a video directed at Warcraft III's audience in China that the aging RTS would be receiving a new patch tomorrow, March 15th. The last patch, 1.26a, was released in late March 2011.
No details about the patch, 1.27, have been announced as of yet. The video seems to have primarily been intended to announce that the patch will be launching in China simultaneously with the rest of the world.
This news comes shortly after the announcement that Diablo II would be receiving a patch that will "optimize [it] for modern computers."
